A while back I had a dear teacher who taught me a lot about how to live as a Jewish wife and mother. Her exams were always accompanied with a fresh tray of peanut butter brownies (she is an amazing baker), and her home was always full of happiness and activity. One of the things she would tell us was, "Girls, the main thing in life is the chocolate chip cookies and the peanut butter brownies." She lives by that saying and it left a strong impression on me.
I think that everyone can find their own "cookies and brownies" in life. It's just important to pick up on those moments, and maximize them. I enjoy using my creativity with my kids, firstly so that they won't tear apart the house (and each other), but also so that we'll have tons of fun as a family. I also find an outlet in baking and decorating cakes, and other projects.
Bake Chocolate Chip Cookies is a way to chronicle the things we do as a family, to keep track of what worked, to keep me inspired to do more, and to share these adventures with our family and friends.
